Minecraft

Barreling across the virtual world and sweeping up everthing in it's path, Mojang's sandbox indie game Minecraft has been an instant success since it's release in 2011.
Created originally by Swedish programmer Markus "Notch" Perrson, Minecraft was released for PC on 18 November 2011. An Android version was released a month earlier on October 7 and an iOs version was released on 17 November. It was also released on May 9 2012 for Xbox 360 as a Xbox Live Arcade Game.
The creative aspects of Minecraft allow players to  build constructions out of different textured cubes in a 3D procedural generated world. Other activities in the game  include exploration, hunting for food and resources and also combat against hostile non player characters
Being an open world game with no specific goals, Minecraft allows a great deal of freedom to players. The game has three modes, Creative: allows players to build t.eir world without worry of combat or survival. Survival: in this mode players have to hunt for food and resources to maintain their health and survive. They also have to combat evil Mobs. Hardcore: it is similar to survival mode but with increased difficulty and the option of respawning removed
All in all Minecraft is a complete game even if somewhat unrealistic. But if you need something to kill a few hours Minecraft's your best bet
